Basel wants to rescue Karius

Sometimes football gives you a second chance. This could be Karius' case, who is trapped in a living hell since his two mistakes in the 2017-18 Champions League final. 

Since that night, the goalkeeper hasn't established himself anywhere. He played two seasons for Besiktas on loan, to then come back to Anfield. Last season, he only played five games during his loan spell at Union Berlin. 

The goalkeeper is back playing under Jurgen Klopp, without any chances of being a starter over Alisson. Despite this situation, the German rejected all the offers that came in this Summer. 

Karius already rejected Basel's offer this Summer however, 'Bild' reports that the Swiss, who play in the Conference League this season, will come back to try to sign the German goalkeeper in January.

There won't be any problems from Liverpool's side, as he is not an important player and his salary is high for someone who does not get playing time.
