Barcelona now negotiating for Tadic, the alternative to Rodrigo

Barca tried to get Rodrigo Moreno to replace the injured Luis Suárez, but the deal came to nothing. Barca broke off negotiations with Valencia due to Valencia requesting 60 million euros.

Amidst this, the Barca board have moved fast and are now focussed on their next target. According to Gianluca de Marzio on 'Sky Sport Italia', Barca want Ajax's Serbian forward Dusan Tadic.

The aforementioned source explains that there have already been contacts between the parties and Tadic's agent plans to travel to Barcelona this Wednesday to speed up the negotiations.

Dusan Tadic is a 31 year old forward that became one of the revelations of last season's Champions League with an Ajax side that reached the semi-finals, and where he also played with current Barca player Frenkie De Jong.

Left-footed, 1.81 metres and skilful with the ball, he renewed his contract with Ajax last December until June 2023. The good relationship between the clubs and the fact that the Dutch side are now out the Champions League could favour the negotiation.

This season, Tadic has already played 2862 minutes in 33 matches, scoring 12 goals and getting 21 assists.
