More bad news for Barcelona as the club confirmed on Sunday Gerard Pique's right calf strain injury. The club didn't report how much time he will be out for, but it is expected to be between three and four weeks.
"Tests this morning confirmed first-team player Gerard Piqué has a right calf strain and will be out for the forseeable future", said the club in an official announcement.
The defender will miss the crucial Champions League clash against Dynamo Kiev, as well as LaLiga's game against Celta. Fortunately for Barcelona, the international break it's close, which will help Pique not miss as many games for the club.
The Catalan derby against Espanyol could be the date for the defender's comeback, maybe under a new manager, everything depends on how his recovery advances.
