Barcelona confirms Gavi 'cleared to recover at home' after head injury

Barcelona midfielder Gavi, who was substituted in La Liga match against Alaves in the 15th minute after a accidental collision with Tomas Conechny, has been cleared of “a cranioencephalic traumatism without loss of consciousness”, as reported Sunday by the medical services of the Catalan club.

The tests carried out on the player at the Hospital de Barcelona have been normal, and the player is now at home. “From now on, he will continue to be monitored”, concludes the medical report.

The midfielder from Seville left the pitch under his own steam and even asked the coach, Hansi Flick, to continue playing before being replaced by Fermin Lopez.

The worst part was borne by a visibly dazed Conechny, who left on a stretcher and with a neck brace.
