Barca to negotiate until the last minute for Wesley

Barcelona are still working flat out to try to sign Wesley, the 19-year-old Brazilian right-back who Flamengo have no intention of letting go, with just 48 hours to go until the end of the winter transfer window. 

The club's objective is to sign the defender on a one-year loan to strengthen Barca Atletic's ranks. The 'Cules' have been trying for weeks to convince the Brazilian club with an offer that includes a small remuneration plus a non-obligatory purchase option. But they have not yet succeeded.

Flamengo remain adamant that they will not let Wesley leave, so Barcelona will have to go all out in the last few hours if they want to secure the winger's loan move. 

According to 'Sport', the Flamengo U20 winger is one of the sporting management's gambles. There are very good reports on the player and sees him as having enough potential to end up making a name for himself in the reserve team coached by Rafa Marquez, with the possibility of being promoted to the first team in the not too distant future. 

The aforementioned media also assures that the first interested in landing in Catalan territory is Wesley himself, who still maintains the hope that his agents manage to convince the Brazilian club to join the Catalan giants, as he does not want to miss the opportunity to play for Barcelona.
