Barca target Bernat renews at PSG until 2026

Barca are looking for defenders for the next transfer window. One of the most interesting options was that of PSG left-back Juan Bernat. His contract at the French club expires in June, so he could go to Barcelona for nothing. 

PSG are not thinking of letting Juan Bernat go though. According to 'RMC Sport', the French side are already working on renewing the Spaniard. 

This media outlet says that Bernat will sign a contract until 2026, a five year extension. A long term deal which shows the confidence PSG have in the former Bayern Munich man. 

The agreement between both parties is about to be completed. The final bits and pieces of the deal need to be done before PSG can announce the news.

Bernat moved to the Parc des Princes in 2018 from Bayern. Since then, he has earned his spot in the team and he made it clear a few months ago that his aim was to renew:"Yes, we're talking to the board about my contract. Negotiations are underway, but at the moment, there is nothing agreed. I think it will be sorted out soon, I want to stay at PSG for many years," he had said.
