Barca striker Ferran urged Valencia fans to put aside the non-sporting issues

Barcelona striker Ferran Torres, scorer of three of the five goals in the Copa del Rey quarter-final against Valencia, said it was "hard" to see the club of his life "suffer like this".

The Valencia youth player, who did not celebrate any of the three goals and showed a message in support of those affected by the DANA, wished "all the luck" to the Valencianista team to avoid relegation in La Liga in statements to RTVE.

"I hope they avoid relegation," said Ferran, who, when asked about the atmosphere at the Mestalla, said: "Let them leave the non-sporting stuff to one side and support the players, who need it". On the match, the Cule striker said: "We knew it was going to be a very difficult game because it always is at Mestalla. We scored early goals and that's what made them go down".
