Barca sporting director confident of Pedri and Gavi's renewals

Barcelona sporting director Deco has voiced his strong belief that key players Gavi and Pedri will soon commit their futures to the Catalan club by agreeing to contract renewals.

With both midfielders regarded as pillars of Barcelona's future, Deco is confident that negotiations will be resolved positively.

"Pedri's contract renewal will happen because he wants to succeed at Barcelona. He wants to make history here. We are focused on winning important titles this season, but also on guaranteeing the future of key players and Pedri is one of them," Deco told Mundo Deportivo.

Deco, who has been closely involved in the club's operations, expressed his optimism about securing the duo’s long-term services as he highlighted their importance not only on the field but also in terms of the club's future success.

"I can also see Gavi signing a new contract with us, for sure. Gavi personifies everything that Barcelona are. He is a special player. He's only 20 but it looks like he's 26 or 27. When a player wants to stay, it will be done," Deco added.

With negotiations ongoing, Deco remains confident that Gavi and Pedri will put pen to paper soon. The renewals would be a significant boost for the Catalan giants, ensuring the midfield continues to be in safe hands for the foreseeable future.
