Barca's injury crisis deepens: Sergi Roberto out with soleus injury

Injuries have been hampering Barcelona in recent weeks and, just as the players begin to return from the international break, the 'Cules' are suffering from yet another physical problem.

It is their captain, Sergi Roberto, who is suffering from a soleus injury in his right leg. The midfielder will therefore be unavailable for the game against Athletic on Sunday.

Sergi Roberto joins a major injury list for Xavi, who is still without Frenkie de Jong and could rest Pedri for the 'Clasico'.

Raphinha is also in a hurry to reach Sunday's game, as is Alex Balde, injured with Spain. Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski are also doubtful.
