Umtiti has been, without doubt, one of the best signings for 'Los Cules' in recent times. There may have been doubts when he arrived, but he's formed an incredibe partnership at the back with Gerard Pique.
So much so that Umtiti has attracted interest from various top clubs around Europe, including Pep Guardiola's Manchester City. The Spanish head coach believes the centre-back would fit in well with his possession-based defence.
However, Barcelona are reportedly "confident" that they can tie Umtiti to an extension, one which would allow them to raise his current release clause above the clutches of their rivals.
The board hope to have it completed before the World Cup kicks off on June 14, where Umtiti will look to secure glory with France.
Their other priority is Lenglet. 'Sport' suggests that the defender is meeting with Sevilla's chiefs to tell them he won't be signing a new deal with the club, opening the door for a move to the Camp Nou.
