Ilaix Moriba's contract at Barcelona terminates in 2022. The club made him a renewal offer, but are yet to receive a response from the player or his agents, leading them to believe that he will definitely leave this summer. The youngster would have a number of suitors outside of Spain, the most recent of which were RB Leipzig, who showed their interest in Ilaix around a week ago.
At Barcelona, for all the offers that may arrive, they are clear that they're not going to simply give Ilaix away. According to 'Ara', the Catalan club are asking for 15 million euros for their player. At the moment, however, Barca haven't received too many firm proposals. Those that have arrived on the table, 'Ara' explains, have been below the five-million-euro mark, an amount for which the club wouldn't even be willing to sit down and negotiate.
Ilaix Moriba's future is becoming more complicated by the day. There are still a few weeks before the transfew window shuts, as anything can still happen. Those at the Camp Nou believe they have the power - they won't consider anything less than 15 million, to which an additional five or ten million in variables would have to be added.
The same source explains that the agents are aware of how complicated the situation is. There will be no more meetings with Barca, other than to communicate to the club that they have an offer which meets the requirements they're asking for.
