Barca in talks with Guerreiro

As well as being firmly in the fight to sign the Ajax central defender De Ligt, Barcelona also need to cover other areas for next season. 

One of them is at left back. Jordi Alba is the main man, but he was tired towards the back end of this term after playing in more than 50 games. 

It is for that reason that Barcelona thought about various footballers including Filipe Luis of Atletico Madrid. However, according to 'Sport', a strong candidate is Guerreiro. 

The Borussia Dortmund footballer played 32 matches last season, but he has apparently told the board that he will not renew his contract, which ends on 30th June 2020. 

So the intention of the German side would be to let Guerreiro leave to be able to obtain a sum of money which would go up to 25 million euros, an amount which the Catalans are negotiating. 

As the cited media outlet indicates, Barcelona have apparently been in contact with Guerreiro for various weeks trying to get approval which is getting closer every day. Guerreiro is of Portuguese origin and very reliable.
