Barça forget about money with Riqui Puig

MLS is the most likely destination for Riqui Puig. The player did not go on the American tour, as Xavi does not count on him for the 2022-23 season and Barça are on time to find a place for him.

The midfielder had the full support of the club, but the coach is clear that he is not going to be important. That is why the club want to find the best possible destination for him.

'Sport' reports that Barça will consider Riqui Puig's best interests. The economic issue will be put on the back burner, as the board only wants to find him a team where he can grow and show his talent.

Barça would consider loaning him out, but to do so, he would first have to renew his contract. As for the salary, the club would be willing to pay him a part of it, in fact they are already counting on it.

So, the plan in principle is for him to sign until 2024, as his current contract with the 'Cules' expires next year. Barça hope that in the summer of 2023 he will return with experience and Xavi, this time, will give him the go-ahead to incorporate him into his eleven.
