Barca cross fingers for full Messi recovery ahead of Roma tie

Messi sustained a hamstring injury whilst on international duty with Argentina that saw him watch both of his country's friendlies from the sidelines. 

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner was back in action Sevilla on Sunday, coming off the bench and netting a late equaliser in a stunning finale. 

After returning to training on Monday, Barcelona are now hopeful that their Argentine magician will be able to play the full 90 against Roma as they go in pursuit of continuing their stellar Champions League form.

Their last game of the competition was a 3-0 victory over Chelsea, orchestrated by the legendary No. 10 who scored two goals and laid on another for Ousmane Dembele.
