Arda Turan may go down in history as one of the least profitable Barcelona signings in history. The Catalan giants signed a player who had performed at a high level at Atlético for 34 million Euros, but he struggled to ever make an impact at Camp Nou.
He ended up frozen out and without a place in the team and was loaned to Istanbul Basaksehir until the end of his Barcelona contract in June 2020. However, Galatasaray - the club in which Turan started his career - may intervene and make Barça rather happy in the process.
'Fanatik' are suggesting that Fatih Terim, who is currently in his fourth spell as 'Galata' manager, is doing everything possible to complete a move for Turan, although it would involve breaking the loan agreement that Barcelona have with Istanbul Basaksehir.
That said, his current club wouldn't mind getting rid of Turan, who has been more widely known for his disciplinary problems since he returned to Turkey. In fact, he was banned for 16 games after he pushed a linesman.
At 32 years of age, Arda Turan's career is drawing to a close, but Terim still believes that he can draw out from him at least some of the excellent level that saw him win over the Vicente Calderón. Barcelona will hope this is the case, as they would receive a transfer fee for a player they were expecting to lose for free next summer.
