Isco once again left several interesting quotes with his words in the second part of his interview with 'Marca'. This time, the midfielder reviewed his time at Real Madrid. The midfielder also said he could have swapped the 'Merengues' for the 'Cules' when he received a call from Barcelona president at the time, Josep Maria Bartomeu.
"You're at Madrid and you're at the top of what a player can aspire to. You're at the biggest club in history, where you've also had some bad moments, but in the end, I always managed to overcome them... I always ended up playing 40 or 50 games", he began.
"In the end I always overcame adversity and played. I was a starter in two Champions League finals, in cup finals, Super Cup finals.... Until 2018 I managed to be in all the important moments and, as I said, Madrid are the greatest team in histor," he added.
Isco was targeted by several European clubs, including Barcelona: "Bartomeu called me and with what Bartomeu was paying at the time.... But I was doing very well at Madrid, with my team-mates, with an incredible atmosphere in the dressing room.... It was a dream come true, in which I had won what I dreamed of... I wouldn't leave Madrid for all the money in the world. The city, moreover, is wonderful. The way I enjoyed myself at Madrid, I knew I wouldn't enjoy myself anywhere else".
