Barca continue to work on signing young talent for the future. Wesley, a 19-year-old right-back from Flamengo, is the target after the arrival of Julian Araujo from Los Angeles Galaxy was thwarted. However, these names are not the only ones being discussed in the Camp Nou offices.
Another promising young player that interests the Catalan giants is Stefan Mitrovic, who plays for Crvena Zvezda. At least, that's what his father explained on social media.
"As a father I have to say that yes, Barca have approached us, as have other clubs," he said on Twitter. However, the Serbian club decided to reject all offers received in the winter transfer window.
In addition, Zvezdan Terzic, Crvena Zvezda sporting director, explained in 'Srpski Telegraf' the interest of the 'Cules' in the player: "Stefan Mitrovic is on Barcelona's shortlist for the summer transfer market. We recently had specific offers from three big clubs for him. These are dizzying numbers".
"We didn't accept because he played for Radniki and Crvena Zvezda last year in July and August, and according to FIFA rules, a player can change three clubs in one year, but only play for two. We didn't sell him just for that, because he couldn't play for that club. We have a great interest in Stefan and we turned down offers of six million euros," he added.
