Cedric Bakambu will struggle to move to Barcelona despite leaving Beijing Guoan on a free. The first reports speak of interest from Barcelona in the footballer, who has been on Barca's radar in the past on occasiones in which Barca needed to reinforce their strike force.
However, the former Villarreal man seems now to be much closer to Galatasaray. According to 'Sabah', the Congolese striker is even negotiating a possible move to Galatasaray.
The 30 year-old centre forward has reportedly asked the Turkish side for a three and a half year contract and a salary of three million euros which Galatasaray are willing to offer him. Barca cannot though.
The striker's time in China saw him make 87 appearances, score 58 goals and get 14 assists. At Villarreal, he scored 47 goals and gave four assists in 105 matches.
Despite having a very good time in La Liga, Bakambu seems willing to continue his career in Turkey and Barca, therefore, will have to look for another centre forward for January.
