Bad news for Manchester City. Nathan Ake had to be substituted in the 54th minute in the match against Leeds United in the Premier League.
The Dutchman appeared to have suffered a hamstring strain and Pep Guardiola decided to replace him with Kyle Walker. Ake was limping in the second period of the match.
This is a huge setback for Guardiola's side as the 28-year-old could miss the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid. The former Chelsea player has already suffered a hamstring injury this season and missed three games.
The Spanish coach decided to replace him so as not to force him any further and hopes that the centre-back does not pick up a serious injury that will keep him out of action for Manchester City's next few games.
