Arsenal face missing one of their most crucial players in their Premier League title race with less than a week to go before the end of the international break.
Martin Odegaard, who played as a starter in Norway's Nations League meeting against Austria on Monday, was unable to finish the game along with his compatriots. The 25-year-old left the field limping and with the help of doctors after getting injured in a duel for the ball.
The Norwegian was in the race for the ball with RB Leipzig playmaker Christoph Baumgartner when he twisted his ankle. As a result, Odegaard was forced to be replaced in the 67th minute by Thorstvedt, who plays for Sassuolo.
The injury to Norway's No.10 is only bad news for the Gunners, who face Tottenham Hotspur in their next Premier League challenge. Mikel Arteta's side will have to make up for the possible absence of their captain for the upcoming matches.
