Azcona loses his temper, sent off for hitting Cubarsi's crotch

Dominican Republic stood up to Spain on the scoreboard until Edison Azcona lost his head. Ibai Gomez's No.10 was sent off for kicking Pau Cubarsi in the crotch.

The Barcelona player wanted to cut off a possible opponent's dangerous action the hard way. He committed a clear foul on his opponent and even deserved a yellow card. But the worst happened moments later for all parties.

In an inexplicable fit of anger, Edison Azcona turned around and attacked his crotch with an ill-intentioned kick. The Spanish defender fell to the turf with clear signs of pain and referee Adel Al Naqbi did not think twice about showing him the red card.
