Aurier leaves Villarreal

Aurier will not be at Villarreal next season. The Yellow Submarine informed on Friday that the club and the player have decided to part ways after the end of his contract.

Aurier has honoured his contract, which he signed in October following his spell at Tottenham, and will again be listening to offers for next season.

"Serge Aurier and Villarreal have parted ways. The former player has terminated his contract with the Yellow Submarine. The Ivorian full-back arrived in Spain as a free agent last October," said Villarreal.

Aurier has made a total of 24 appearances, but has only started eleven and has hardly played more than 1,000 minutes. In this time he was able to provide two assists.
