Atletico Madrid were expected to close the deal of striker Matheus Cunha and defender Felipe Monteiro during the January transfer window.
However, according to 'Sky Sports', the Spanish team have not received any offers for the defender. For that reason, Wolves seem to have no interest in Monteiro.
His contract expires in June and Simeone's side have been looking for a new destination for him for some time. In addition, he has only played three games so far this season, two in La Liga and one in the Champions League.
As a result, it is unlikely that Lopetegui's side will sign Atletico Madrid's other Brazilian player.
