Centre-back Robin Le Normand has contract with Real Sociedad until 2026. However, he could leave before that date arrives, or at least that is what Atletico want to achieve this summer.
According to Matteo Moretto, journalist of ‘Relevo’, the ‘Rojiblanco' club has already started negotiations with the club that owns the defender's pass. His release clause is 50 million, but they aim to sign him for a much lower price. Atletico would have the intention of acquiring his services for around 30 million euros, a figure that would already include bonuses.
The ‘Txuri-urdin’ club will be a tough nut to crack, but the ‘Colchoneros’ are showing their strong interest in the centre-back and promise to bid hard for him. Atletico and Real Sociedad have already taken the first step, it remains to be seen whether the talks will be enough for him to swap the Reale Arena for the Metropolitano.
The summer will be a long one, especially for the team presided over by Enrique Cerezo. The club wants to thoroughly renovate the squad and there are many important movements in the pipeline, both incoming and outgoing. Diego Pablo Simeone has already made some changes after the last league game and Le Normand is, at the moment, one of the priorities of the Madrid club.
