Atletico Madrid's Savic expected to leave the club

Atletico Madrid's Stefan Savic has decided to leave the 'Colchoneros' ahead of next season, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Montenegrin considers that his spell at the Metropolitano has come to an end.

According to 'Relevo', Atletico will not put any obstacles in the way of the centre-back's departure. The good relationship between both parties will make the club's board listen to offers for the 33-year-old.

On the other hand, Savic's possible destinations are Saudi Arabia or Turkey. The Arab clubs already tried to sign the Montenegrin last summer, but nothing materialised on that occasion. On the other hand, the defender is very popular in Turkish football.

On another note, Savic is not the only defender who will leave the Madrid club this summer, as Mario Hermoso will also leave on loan. Atletico will have to look to the market for centre-backs for next season.

Stefan Savic will leave Atletico after 9 seasons in which he has made 296 appearances, scored 3 goals and provided 3 assists. He has won 1 La Liga, 1 Europa League and 2 European Super Cups.
