Atletico Madrid keeping an eye on De Vrij

Atletico Madrid are still looking for a replacement for Diego Godin. The spot left by the Uruguayan centre-back has never been filled by any player after his departure to Inter Milan.

Diego Simeone is looking for a defender for next season and the Spanish side are keeping an eye on Inter's Stefan de Vrij.

Atletico will try to reinforce their squad. According to several Italian sources, the Dutch player will not accept the renewal offer and, for that reason, Atletico will try to sign him once the winter transfer window opens.

De Vrij's contract expires in June and Inter have just a few weeks left to try to stop the Netherlands footballer from leaving.
