Aston Villa negotiating Pepe Reina deal

The long term injury to Tom Heaton has forced Aston Villa to sign a replacement for him quickly. In the last few hours the name Joe Hart has appeared, although it seems that they are after another target.

According to 'The Sun', the English outfit have contacted Milan about signing Pepe Reina. Aston Villa understand that the goalkeeper's Premier League experience is important in their fight to stay up.

At 37 years old, the ex Liverpool keeper is behind Donnarumma in the pecking order. In a year and a half at Milan, Reina has played just 13 matches, 5 of them in the league, and this month he has only played 1.

If this were to happen, it would be Villa's 2nd signing of the transfer market. This week they already signed Danny Drinkwater on loan for the rest of the season.
