Aston Villa join race with Atletico to sign Kamara

Atletico Madrid have a number of names on their shopping list for the upcoming transfer window. After a difficult 2021/22 campaign, the club want to return to battling for the league title next season. 

One of Atelti's targets is current Marseille centremidfielder, Boubacar Kamara. However, their charge for the player may be made difficult by the interest coming from Premier League club Aston Villa. 

According to 'The Daily Mail', the English club are ready to offer the player a contract that will run until 2027. This of course would provide him with a healthy economic situation for years to come.

Moreover, the cited media has reported that the player is excited by the project at the club and he is now very interested in signing for the Villians.

Nevertheless, 'Los Colchoneros' can take comfort in the fact that they reached a verbal agreement with the Frenchman a number of months ago. It is worth remembering that at the end of the current season, the player will be a free agent.
