Arsenal played on Scottish soil once again. The English side are on tour in the UK's northernmost country and took on Rangers for the Glasgow outfit's 150th anniversary.
Arteta's side were beaten 2-1 in their opening game against Hibernians and also failed to win on Saturday against the reigning Scottis Premiership champions. In fact, they were twice behind on the scoreboard.
The Gunners started with a starting line-up with plenty of familiar names. Aubameyang, Nketiah, Willian, Elneny and Kolasinac were among the starters who went behind after just 14 minutes. Balogun headed a corner into the back of the net to make it 1-0.
Arsenal responded in the 23rd minute through Nuno Tavares. The young Portuguese full-back picked up a ball in the box after a poor clearance from the Rangers defence and scored perfectly with his right foot to make it 1-1 at the break.
It was not until the second half that more goals were scored. In the 75th minute, a corner again ended up in the back of Okwonko's net. Itten's angled header made it 2-1 to Rangers, who were unable to hold on for the win.
There were some good chances for the Scots, but Nketiah scored the equaliser with a fine left-footed finish in the box in the 83rd minute.
