Arsenal won the first match of the season 3-0 which added to the Gunners excitement for the season ahead. The renewal of Aubameyang only further added to their hopes for the season.
After several months of speculation about his future, the French-Gabonese striker signed a new contract with the London club and, although for what length of time is still unknown, it's clear that it's a step towards him staying in the long term.
After confirming that Aubameyang would stay at the club, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is looking to make 5 new signings to strengthen up the squad and turn some of the Gunners' excitement into titles.
Diego Carlos, David Raya, Max Aarons, Thomas Partey, and Houssem Aouar make up Arsenal's wish list. However, the club would need to accelerate the sales of some of its players in order to be able to sign all of its desired transfers.
The players from Atlético Madrid and Olympique de Lyon, as well as being favoured transfers, are also the most difficult to sign. While the Madrid side want 50 million for his services, the French club don't seem to be willing to let the promising 22-year-old go.
Sevilla, for now, also don't seem to want to let Diego Carlos go, although they could probably be tempted if a big enough offer was made for him. The most likely signings are probably those of Raya and Aarons, from Brentford and Norwich City respectively.
