According to a report by 'The Athletic', Arsenal have had to close Hale End, their academy training facility, due to a positive COVID-19 test.
The case was detected after a test carried out on the member of personnel who returned from travelling abroad. It appears that the staff member had returned to work before receiving his test results.
All members of staff received an email last Wednesday night informing them of the development and telling them not to travel to Hale End.
The centre will remain closed until it is completely safe to return to normal. "We can confirm that a member of staff at our Hale End academy facility has tested positive. The result arrived at 17:00 and the staff member immediately left the site to begin his quarantine period", said a spokesperson for the English club.
Moreover, another six people are being monitored after being identified as close contacts of the person who tested positive.
