Arsenal and Tottenham, Coutinho's options to escape

Philippe Coutinho was close to leave Barcelona this summer, but he ended up staying at Koeman's side. According to Catalonian newspaper 'El Nacional', the Brazilian could leave before the end of the season. Barcelona will try to sell him in January, Arsenal and Tottenham are both after him.

Coutinho finally had a chance at Barça. Nine months later since last time, Coutinho started for Barça against Granada, in a disappointing 1-1 draw.

Despite many transfer rumors this past transfer window, Barcelona's most expensive transfer ever has already played 106 minutes in between 3 games this season.

His future could be far away from Barcelona, most likely back in the Premier League. According to 'El Nacional' Barça wants to sell a couple of players this January in order to be able to make big signings in summer 2022.

This is why Barcelona would see selling the Brazilian as a good option. Tottenham and Arsenal are both interested in bringing the former Liverpool star back to the Premier League.

Barcelona's idea is to loan Coutinho out. The contract would include a compulsory buy option.
