Armenian player passes away in Nagorno-Karabakh conflict

Liparit Dashtoyán, Armenian player who last season played for Alashkert-2 in the second division of his country, died in combat in the separatist enclave of Nagorno-Karabakh, according to his club on Monday.

"Dashtoyan has entered the list of heroes who have given their lives for the country. Rest in peace, Soldier", the note stated.

The fallen player, 22, played for Alashkert-2 between 2014 and 2019.

According to the authorities in Nagorno-Karabakh, 223 Armenian soldiers have died in combat since 27th September.
