Some members of the Argentina team were close to being knocked off by a cable in the team's World Cup celebrations. After arriving in Buenos Aires, the players met with their fans to celebrate the trophy with them.
The World Cup was also on display and Lionel Messi had it in his hands when he, Leandro Paredes, Rodrigo de Paul, Angel Di Maria and Nicolas Otamendi went under a cable. They were all sat next to each other.
When they realised their heads were going to hit against the cable, they ducked at the last minute to prevent disaster from striking. However, Paredes ended up losing his cap and the peak of his cap struck the cable and fell off his head.
The important thing, in any case, is that the World Cup, which was in Messi's hands, did not suffer any damage so the celebrations continued as planned. The streets were full of fans celebrating the incredible feat.
