The painful Champions League exit at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain has caused an earthquake at FC Barcelona, especially after Ilkay Gundogan indirectly pointed the finger at Ronald Araujo in the media as the main responsible for the defeat to the Parisians.
"It's difficult, but in these crucial moments, you have to be clear that you will get to the ball. If you don't get to the ball, you have to let it go. I'd rather concede the goal or leave a striker on the one-on-one. Give our goalkeeper a chance to save it. Or even concede the goal, but to go a man down so early... So many minutes with ten... it kills you," the former Manchester City man commented after the clash.
His words were not well received in the dressing room, with Jules Kounde indirectly 'replying' to him on social media. It seemed that things were not going to go any further, but Ronald Araujo, in an act of solidarity, threw a dart at the German international that suggests a possible conflict within the dressing room.
Asked about his team-mate's words, the centre-back was sharp. "I prefer to keep my thoughts to myself. I have certain codes and values that have to be respected," commented the Uruguayan, with a serious face, in what could be a further problem for a Barcelona side who, after the continental shock, face this weekend's 'Clasico' against Real Madrid.
