Araujo could miss Barca start of season

Ronald Araujo had to be substituted shortly after the first half hour of their Copa America quarter-final against Brazil. He felt a twinge of pain, which became known thanks to the statements of his coach Bielsa, who said that it was a muscle injury. The Uruguay national team doctors estimate that the centre-back will be out for around six weeks. This means missing the semi-finals and final of this summer's continental championship and the start of the official season with Barcelona. He would be back by the end of August when Hansi Flick's side face Athletic on the 25th and Rayo Vallecano on the 28th, matchdays 2 and 3 of La Liga.

The newspaper mentioned in the first paragraph states that it is not ruled out that the defender will have to wait until the September international break to return, which would leave him sidelined until at least the 15th of that month when the 'Cules' have a game against Girona at Montilivi.
