The utility man was given oxygen before being stretchered off the field of play against West Ham, after appearing to twist his ankle on the way down from an aerial battle with an 'Irons' player.
The events of the match have somewhat been forgotten in recent days, as a fatal helicopter crash outside the King Power stadium claimed the lives of five people, including the Leicester owner, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.
Defender Amartey took to his personal twitter account to provide an update on his injury, and of course, to pay respects to the victims of the tragedy.
Amartey posted the following message alongside a picture of the late Leicester owner: "Came out of a successful surgery, but devastating news about the demise of our chairman. A generous man, to whom [Leicester City] owes everything. I'm sure, you're in a much better place. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and the families of the victims affected by this tragedy."
