'Always in our hearts' - the San Siro's tribute to Astori

The home fans showed their sadness at the Italy international's shock passing ahead of Thursday's Euruopa League clash with Arsenal. A minute's silence was impeccably observed, whilst fans also held up homemade signs paying tribute to the 31-year-old on the same day as his funeral.

"Always in our hearts," read one banner in the stand.

Astori was found dead in his hotel hours before Fiorentina were due to face Udinese in Udine, with the cause of death later found to be heart problems due to natural causes.

Milan also posted a photo of Astori when a member of the club's academy to their Twitter page as Italian football continued to mourn one of their own.
