Allegri: Buffon error woke Juventus up

Juventus won yesterday 2-1 against Udinese. Udinese could score their goal thanks to a little mistake Gianluigi Buffon comitted in the first half of the game.

The veteran goalkeeper has been criticized lately for his mistakes but Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri defended him by saying: "Buffon's error does not bother me. He played 50 games a year ago".

Furthermore he told 'Sky Italia': "Tonight he wanted to create that difficulty to wake us up, but then he made an unbelievable save on the header [from Felipe]".

Despite his team's win, the coach admitted they didn't play well enough in the first half: "We did not play well in the first half. In the second half, after we made it 2-1, we could have scored again. 

"We have suffered in the final stages, with even a little tiredness. Udinese put us on the ropes a little," he said.
