Yannick Bolasie has returned from injury in fine form, providing the cross that led to a Brighton own goal as the 'Toffees' claimed a 2-0 win on Saturday.
Everton boss Allardyce praised the 28-year-old's efforts telling the club's official website that what he enjoyed the most was ''when he produced the final ball that caused the first goal, his game got even better from then on.''
Allardyce hopes that Bolasie's return will restore balance to the squad, saying that ''it will be nice to see the old Yannick back on a consistent basis because I think he gives us good balance down the left-hand side. Theo Walcott down one side and Yannick down the other gives the team a real good balance.''
Bolasie joined the club from Crystal Palace in August 2016 but suffered cruciate ligament damage four months into his stint at Everton. The winger was operated on twice and returned action over the Christmas period against West Bromwich Albion.
Everton's next fixture will be against Stoke who are facing a potential relegation battle. The 'Toffees' are currently in ninth position in the Premier League.
