All signs point to Mkhitaryan staying at Roma

Roma CEO Tiago Pinto made a brief statement about Henrikh Mkhitaryan's continuity at the club in front of 'DAZN' microphones. Although he did not want to talk about the summer transfer window before a game, he hinted that he will continue to wear the shirt of the Italian club.

The 33-year-old midfielder has 41 appearances to his name this season, scoring four goals and providing ten assists. For the Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho, he is a key player in midfield.

The last match in which the player scored a decisive goal for the 'Giallorossi' side was against Sampdoria. The Armenian returned Roma to fifth place in the Italian League table.

Speaking ahead of the match against Inter, Tiago also noted the importance of the game for Mourinho: "We know it's a special game for him because he made history. I'm sure that no other Roma player wants to win today like him. In the end, there was no luck for the 'Giallorossi', who lost the match 3-1.
