Alex Song to leave Barcelona for Rubin Kazan

Alex Song is set to complete a permanent move to Rubin Kazan from Barcelona, according to Sport.

It has been some time since the Cameroon international fell down the pecking order at the Camp Nou, and after two seasons out on loan to West Ham, the 28-year-old looks as though he is leaving the club for good.

The Hammers turned down the option to sign him permanently, and with his contract with the Catalan giants expiring in 2017, and no chance of him breaking back into the Barcelona team, the player has agreed a deal in principle with the Russian side.
