Toronto FC must be delighted to have the player on their side. Alejandro Pozuelo has brought the team a lot of joy, especially over the last month.
For his great performances across September, Pozuelo has been named the MLS player of the month. Pozuelo scored four goals and notched two assists in the six games he played in the last four weeks, in which he was key to ensuring victory for the Canadian outfit, who now have a record of four wins, three defeats, and a draw.
The Spaniard is the second player to win the award this season after Orlando City's Daryl Dike took it home in August.
The man from Seville, 29 years old, started his career at Betis, before enjoying spells at Swansea, Rayo Vallenco, and Genk and finally arriving at Toronto FC in 2019. They currently occupy third place in the Eastern Conference, two points behind leaders Columbus Crew and level on points with Philadelphia Union.
