Ajax also say no to Balde as a replacement for Tagliafico

The transfer market is busy in the final few days before it closes. Barcelona still have to make several signings if they want to fulfil Xavi Hernandez's requests.

One of them is bringing in a left back. The player chosen by Barca was Nicolas Tagliafico, but interest in the Argentine has cooled as Ajax do not agree. 

The Dutch club, 'Mundo Deportivo' explained, want to have a substitute before letting Tagliafico leave. Barcelona had offered them Alejandro Balde on loan, but Ajax are not satisfied. 

And the thing is the team from Amsterdam think that Balde is not good enough to fill the boots of Tagliafico, who Barca want on loan. 

You also have to add the fact that the Barca player has refused to part of the swap deal which would see him go to Ajax. That makes it even more difficult for Taglafico to move to the Camp Nou. 

In this way,. Barcelona have had to look elsewhere for a left-back. Now, Benfica's Alejandro Grimaldo is the favourite.
