Aguero opened his World Cup account with a bullet

It was a goal of firsts for the Manchester City forward. The first goal of the game, Argentina's first goal at the Russia World Cup, and Aguero's first ever goal at a World Cup. 

The striker has played at three different World Cup tournaments, but it has taken him nine games across these twelve years to open his account.

He opened it in style on Saturday, flashing in a powerful shot from inside the box in the 19th minute. The ball had fallen to him in the area after a mishit shot from Marcos Rojo picked him out. 

Aguero showed why he is one of the best strikers about, turning to his left to evade the scrambling defenders, before smashing a finish into the top left corner.
