Guardiola has not yet decided which players he will field against Olympique Marseille. City is one of the teams that have already qualified and therefore rotations are likely coming up.
The coach, before that last match of the final phase of the group stage of the Champions, spoke about Kun Agüero. He may or may not be on the list, depending on how he feels.
"On Wednesday we will decide. Maybe he will be on the bench. We'll see how his body reacts to the discomfort," he said. "These days he has been training, he is working hard to come back. He needs time. We are patient with him," he continued.
If his knee responds well, Agüero could reappear next weekend against Manchester United: "If everything goes well, he'll be back. Let no one doubt that," he stressed.
As for the Champions League match, as City is already in the round of sixteen, he predicted that the less seen ones will play. "I don't always use the same ones. I leave eight or nine without playing. I don't play a full season always with the same eleven. There will be four or five players from the branch," he said.
But that doesn't mean that City will go for a walk. "As I said, we will play to win. I don't break up the team, I always try to put the best players in for every game. It's important that everyone is involved," he said.
Finally, he made it clear that they are going into the match with caution: "We have to respect OM. We are aware of that".
