AEK Athens want Lekue on loan

Lekue is not managing to get into the Athletic Bilbao side and AEK Athens are offering him the opportunity to play for them. 'Sportime', a media outlet in Greece, says that the club want to get hold of him on loan at the end of the season. 

The ideal thing for the board would be to get him on loan with an option to buy him. In this case, the Spaniard could stay at the club for a while. It is worth remembering that the player has never played for any professional club outside of Bilbao. 

The key to this move is Marcelino. Gaizka Garitano did not really count on the defender, but the new coach might do, so it is important to see what Marcelino's intentions are. 

In any case, his Athletic Bilbao contract runs until 2023. He has a market value of 2.1 million euros, according to ProFootballFB, and there could soon be developments on a possible loan move to Greece.
