Adrian bids farewell to Liverpool after 5 seasons

Goalkeeper Adrian San Miguel made his departure from Liverpool official, where he has played for the past five seasons, official and will be free to choose where he plays in the future.

The 37-year-old from Seville left Betis, where he had been a player, to join West Ham 11 seasons ago. He spent six years with the London club before moving to Liverpool, where he has spent the last five seasons.

"Now is the time to share all these experiences. I have learned that I will be grateful to you for life and that you will always be very special to me and my family. As Bill Shankly (one of the most renowned managers, especially of Liverpool, in English football) said, Liverpool exists to win trophies. I wish you all the best. Always a Red. Farewell," added Adrian.

The goalkeeper will return to Spanish football and Betis, his club of origin, appears to be the most likely destination.
