AC Milan wants to safeguard Kjaer

Stefano Pioli's side is getting back to their first form in Serie A as they stand at the second position with 25 points and levelled with Napoli.

The 'Rossoneri" have one of the strongest defenses in Serie A and Kjaer plays a significant role in that back-line. The Danish international starts every game as he is a key player for the team. Maldini and the rest of the board are already working on his extension.

According to Nicolo Schira, the Danish player would sign for one year for an option to a second one. The defender's contract expires at the end of the season.

Kjaer, is on the Ballon d'Or 30-men shortlist after his great performances at the Euro 2020.
