It had been a fantastic clash with Manchester United hitting the woodwork and Bristol City battling superbly to stay in the game in the first half.
The second half got underway and the Red Devils attempted to pile pressure on the hosts, but in doing so they conceded the first of the night.
A brilliant goal from Joe Bryan who started and finished the move, striking brilliantly into the top right corner past Romero.
